To begin, here are some photographs from the remarkable “Sociological Record” by Zofia Rydet, a Polish photographer who spent the last two decades of her life documenting Polish individuals in as many personal spaces as she could access. Though the series was never completed, Rydet was able to capture about 20,000 photographs in over a hundred Polish villages and towns before her death in 1997.
